The Supreme Court Just Ended America.

My political views have probably peeked out a few times so far in this publication. However, so far, I haven’t made a definitive stand on any specific candidate or party.

I am still not taking any stand for or against any party, essentially, pick your poison. I am however going to take a stand against a candidate.

Trump supporters, your level of self-delusion is off the charts. Again, this isn’t about Republicans or Democrats. It is about a candidate who will almost certainly end America, and it will happen only because of his fanatical supporters who refuse to see the obvious.

Due to the Supreme Court’s ruling, the foundation has been set for Trump to become the last elected president. There is no shortage of examples perfectly highlighting Trump’s lack of ethics and morals and screaming his true intentions. Not that Trumpers will ever acknowledge this. Additionally, Trump has praised Putin over and over and it is obvious Trump wants his own version of Russia. The president now has the unchecked authority to do exactly this. To think Trump will not use the unlimited power handed to him by the Supreme Court is so far beyond clinical levels of self-delusion, it borders on insanity.

In fact, this nightmare we can’t wake up from seems exactly like something out of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. That’s the level of blindness or change seen in his supporters. Two-thirds of this country are terrified of another Trump term. But, the last third is so off-the-charts radical that Trump is able to stay relevant.

Once Trump is president again, I believe he will never leave office again. He will eliminate the two-term limit, or simply ignore it. He will imprison, or kill, any threat to his position. And, nothing can be done to stop him thanks to the Supreme Court, and Trumpers.

One day, probably in just the next few years, Trump supporters will finally have the sledgehammer of reality hit them square in the face and they’ll say “This isn’t what I wanted!” But, at that point it will be too late for all of us. Or, I guess, they might just say “Finally!”

So, here’s the difference Trumpers, between my point of view and yours.

If I’m wrong? No big deal. I say, damn, I’m sorry! I can’t believe how wrong I was and I completely misjudged all of you. Please accept my sincerest apologies…and the world keeps spinning.

If Trump supporters are wrong? Who fucking cares at that point! The country will no longer exist. We’ll be in a police state, civil war, fractured into worthless territories, or some other such horror. To make matters even worse, the global economy is dependent on the US. If the US tanks, so will the world.

I really hope I can one day say “I’m sorry I misjudged all you Trumpers.” But, I’m terrified I will never, ever, have to say those words.

If you agree this moment is dangerous, speak up. Write, vote, protest, refuse silence. Democracy doesn’t vanish in one blow, it erodes because too many look away. Don’t be one of them. Share this, talk about it, and make your voice louder than their lies.
