I Am Going To Predict The Future
Very specifically...and it's not rosy
By TLS
This is a prediction of what is almost certainly going to happen. If you are a Trumper, I suppose this will be positive. Trumpers voted for this after all. If you are not a Trumper, it may be a bit depressing.
First, the most time-relevant issue, Ukraine. Why did the current administration suddenly allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia after all this time? I was perplexed on this one as well. I knew it had something to do with the election but I still didn’t know why. That is until I heard an analyst’s report.
But first, Russia attacked Ukraine two years ago because they needed resources. Russia (Putin) thought they would be able to sweep in, seize what they wanted, hold it, then laugh at the world as everyone complained. It didn’t quite work out that way for Putin.
Russia bluffed its way into making the world believe it was a superpower. Two years on, they are still struggling against a small nation that is dependent on other nations’ limited help, and is also essentially fighting this superpower with one Ukrainian arm tied behind their back, and Putin still can’t win. Russia is a third-rate power at best anymore. Unfortunately they have nukes which is why this is a complicated situation. Whether they work, who knows?
I believe, up to this point, the West was fighting a proxy war of attrition with Putin. Eventually Russia would go bankrupt and no longer be able to fight. However, Trump won the election and Putin is Trump’s buddy. Not in a good political working relationship kind of way, but in a scary idolizing Putin kind of way.
So why long-range attacks now? Because many know what is likely coming. This may help Ukraine gain as good of a position as possible before Trump takes office. After Trump takes office, he will support Putin over Ukraine, although he’ll sell it like he’s helping Ukraine. But ultimately Trump will cut off military support to Ukraine, forcing them to accept a cease-fire and allowing Putin to take whatever strategic resources he wants and Ukraine will not be able to do a thing about it. This will not be good for the world, western society, or democracy. But that’ll just be the start.
After Trump takes office, across the nation over the next year or two there will be resignations throughout all levels of government and many of those who don’t quit will be fired, some loudly most quietly.
Trump will then install his political lieutenants through all levels of government. This will give him all the support he needs to push through any law or bill he wants.
Throughout this time frame there will be loyalty tests for generals. Normally one would say: What’s wrong with generals loyal to the Constitution? The answer would be nothing. However this loyalty test will be to Trump himself. United States military generals and admirals, loyal first and only, to the President, and not the constitution. This should be terrifying to ANY American.
Ultimately, over the next few years Trump will have the two-term presidential limit repealed, or he will simply ignore it. It won’t really matter anymore at that point. Trump will likely never leave the Oval Office again as long as he lives.
This is my prediction. Few things in this world would make me happier than to be wrong on this prediction. I would love if in four years the nation is still whole, still a free democratic society, and Trump leaves office, and I’ll be able to say “ I can’t believe how wrong I was! I am sorry Mr. Trump and I am sorry to all the Trumpers I doubted. Unfortunately, I am near 100% certain I will never have need to say those words.
You may doubt my prediction, I myself hope it doesn’t come true, but we’ll know soon enough. We have only a few short years to find out.
If you’ve made it this far, you probably feel the same unease I do. We don’t get to sit this one out. Democracy doesn’t protect itself. We protect it. Share this, talk about it, and don’t let anyone tell you “it can’t happen here.” Because it can. And it will, unless we stop it.
